The ISDW was created to run on a free server operating system known as SME Server (Small to Medium Enterprise Server), a variant of the Linux operating system.  In its early development, the SME Server was called "E-Smith".

This guide will walk you through the acquisition, setup and deployment of and SME Server.  Once it becomes operational, you can install the ISAT Student Data Wizard on it and start working with the ISAT data across all buildings in your school district.
